Nicolas Bernier is a former officer in the French Air Force. Passionate about environment and Southeast Asia, he chose to unite these two passions and moved to Indonesia. He is graduated from three famous French “Grandes Ecoles”: Ecole de l’Air (engineering degree), ENSEEIHT (engineering degree) and Mines Paristech (CSR Management and Sustainable Development) and also from INALCO, the French university for “Oriental languages” where he got a degree in Indonesian and Malaysian Language and Culture.
Based in Jakarta in 2015, he co-founded PT Sustenea after working with an engineering consulting firm specialising in environmental issues. OceanKita’s work began in late 2018 and became the company’s main activity after a few months.
